I began teaching at Cain Elementary in 2010 and recently celebrated 10 years with the district. I am the Dyslexia Teacher here at Cain Elementary.
I have been teaching for 20 years. Before coming to Cain Elementary I taught at Dallas Park Elementary in the Crowley School District.
I am married to my high school sweetheart. We recently celebrated our 40th anniversary. We have 3 grown children. The two youngest graduated from Whitehouse ISD. All the kids are married and we have 4 wonderful grandkids. Now that all the kids are grown and have their own families we have 2 dogs Lucy and Lola who are great company.
My favorite thing to do when I am not teaching is to work in my garden. I love flowers especially day lilies. I have over 50 different varities. I also help my husband with the vegetable garden. This past summer we grew cucumbers, peas, beans, cantaloupe, squash, and sweet potatoes. Being outside is medicine for the soul!
