Whitehouse ISD Family Focus

April 30, 2026

Whitehouse ISD Families,

It’s hard to believe we’re already this far into the spring semester. It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming students back in January, and now many of our families are preparing for exciting milestones and new beginnings. Some of you are getting a little one ready for kindergarten. Some are preparing for the move to junior high or high school. And for our senior families, graduation is right around the corner. These seasons of change often bring a mix of excitement, pride, and a lot to think about, and we want you to know we’re here to support your family every step of the way.

As we look ahead to May, the pace of the school year always seems to pick up. If you’ve been a school parent for any length of time, you know the final month has a way of filling up quickly. Between celebrations, performances, graduations, and all the moments that make this season special, these next few weeks will be full. Be sure to keep an eye on communication from your campus and teachers so you don’t miss a thing.

There’s so much to celebrate ahead. Let’s make the most of it.

Serve: Help Us Recognize the Best of Whitehouse

Last month, we shared that our district theme for next year will be Serve. One of the things we value most is recognizing the people who help shape our schools and community in meaningful ways.

If you know someone who represents the spirit of Whitehouse through the way they serve others, we would love to hear about them. Please take a moment to share their name and a short note using this link.

Life Skills Field Day

Last week, Whitehouse ISD was proud to host our annual Life Skills Field Day, welcoming students from several area schools for a day full of fun, movement, and connection. It was a joy to see students encouraging one another, celebrating successes, and making memories together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special event possible.

Physical Fitness Assessment Results

Texas public schools are required to assess student fitness levels in grades 3 through 12 using the state-mandated FitnessGram program. This assessment measures areas of health-related fitness such as aerobic capacity, strength, endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

Parents have the right to request their child’s physical fitness assessment results at the end of the school year. To request this information, please contact your child’s PE teacher or coach.

Assistant Principals Week

This month, we recognized our Assistant Principals for the leadership, support, and care they bring to our campuses each day. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact they make is felt across our schools. We are grateful for all they do for students, staff, and families.

Holloway 6th Grade Leadership Update

We recently received a resignation from Holloway 6th Grade Principal, Mr. Sartor, as he has chosen to pursue new opportunities following the conclusion of this school year. We appreciate his time at Holloway and wish him the very best in his future endeavors. The principal position has been posted, and we have begun the process of identifying the next leader for the Holloway 6th Grade campus.

Celebrating Student Excellence

One of the best parts of this job is celebrating the accomplishments of our students. Whether in academics, fine arts, athletics, or student competitions, Wildcats continue to represent Whitehouse with talent, character, and hard work. We are proud of all they have achieved this month.

UIL Academics
Our students continue to excel in UIL academics, earning strong results at both the district and regional levels. We are proud of the time, preparation, and commitment these students have shown while representing Whitehouse with excellence.

Band Shines at UIL Contest
Whitehouse High School Band students recently had an outstanding showing at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. In addition to hosting the event, all three ensembles earned superior ratings, and multiple groups brought home Sweepstakes honors. Congratulations to our student musicians and directors on an impressive accomplishment.

Holloway Choir Earns Top Ratings
Our Holloway 6th Grade Choir delivered an outstanding performance at their recent contest, earning a Superior Rating, an Outstanding Performance Rating, and all 1s, the highest possible score. They have a lot to be proud of.

First Ladies Earn National Honors
The First Ladies had an incredible competition season, capped off by an outstanding performance at the American Dance/Drill Team Nationals. Competing against teams from across the country and beyond, they earned multiple national titles and high rankings. Just as impressive, they were named Academic Champions with a team GPA of 3.89. We are proud of the discipline, talent, and character they continue to display.

Student Spotlight

Each week, we continue to recognize students who go above and beyond. These students reflect the leadership, kindness, and character we strive to develop across our district. We have incredible students doing great things every day, and we are proud to celebrate them.

Upcoming Events & Communication

A few important dates to keep in mind: the May School Board Meeting has been moved to May 4 at 6:00 p.m., the last day of school is Thursday, May 21, and graduation is Friday, May 22.

We have a lot of exciting things happening as we head into May. The First Ladies will take the stage for their Spring Spectacular, STARSTRUCK, on May 1 and 2 at Whitehouse High School, and later this month, Whitehouse Junior High will present Theatre Soup: A Variety Show on May 18 and 19 in the junior high cafeteria. We're also having our Powder Puff Classic, on May 8 at WIldcat stadium as well as celebrating our seniors "Final Field Day" on May 20th at the high school. We hope you’ll come out and support these students as they share their talents and hard work with our community.
